Edmonds Community College is proud to offer three online certificates for medical device employees and students interested in pursuing careers in the medical device field. Students can access online courses -24/7- from anywhere around the world. Our instructors will be online, leading the courses and facilitating weekly discussions.
Edmonds Community College is a member of and partner with the Medical Device Industry Education Consortium (MDIEC). This consortium was designed by the medical device industry to prepare workers for jobs in many diverse industry fields. The MDIEC certificate programs offer education and training programs to provide existing and new employees with career advancement opportunities and advanced skill levels. Our certificates are recognized by companies throughout the country, and these solutions are delivered through MDIEC’s network of industry acknowledged two-year colleges.
The MDIEC partner colleges offer specialized courses, highlighting programs in Clinical Data Management, Document Communications Management, and Quality Configuration Management which meet the industry and regulatory standards of a growing, innovative field.
Online Certificate Programs:
Medical Quality Systems – 13 credits
Provides the student with an understanding of the quality assurance and regulatory compliance topics he or she will need for a variety of careers including quality control, production, and product development.
Configuration Documentation – 13 credits
Provides the student with an understanding of the strategic planning and document management topics he or she will need for a variety of careers including documentation management, quality auditing, and technical writing.
Clinical Data Management – 13 credits
Provides the student with an understanding of the critical clinical data management skills he or she will need for a variety of careers including product development, clinical research, and clinical data management.
